Engineering Bacteria for Therapeutic Protein Production

My research focuses on engineering the central enzyme involved in the glycosylation process to better understand its mechanism and enhance glycosylation efficiency. The ultimate goal is to apply these optimized systems to produce therapeutic glycoproteins, including antibodies, single-chain variable fragments (scFvs), conjugate vaccines, and other protein-based biologics.
